Happy Summer Holidays!

To all the wonderful Junior Infants and their parents/guardians,
So, you’ve reached the end of this Junior Infant roller coaster of a journey.
What a journey it has been with lots of twists and turns but you have been
amazing all the way through.

Remember your first day in Junior Infants as you peeped your head around the door to investigate what lay ahead. For some of you the first day was exciting and adventurous but for others it was taunting, scaring and new. As the days turned into weeks and weeks into months you all
adapted and settled into Junior Infant life with ease.

Your smiles, laughter and sometime mischievous behaviour made being your teacher an absolute pleasure. You were hard working and enthusiastic learners who were always eager to start
the next new letter or number. Lots of you read your first book by yourself,
wrote your name or even zipped up your coat by yourself for the first time in
Junior Infants and what fantastic achievements they are. You made new
friendships and shared memories with your buddies and I know we didn’t get to
finish the year as we may have hoped to but I think we got plenty jam packed
into the time we had in Junior Infants.

Wishing you all the best as you start your next adventure in Senior Infants, I
have no doubt you will be just as wonderful next year. Finally, to all those home
schooling parents/guardians who through an incredibly challenging time kept the
wheels turning, your effort and engagement no matter how big or small never
went unnoticed so thank you.
See you all in September and don’t forget my classroom door will always be open
to the Junior Infants of 2019.
Many thanks,
Ms. O’Hanlon

Once again, thanks for continuing to support your child’s learning from home. Any bit of school work completed in these times will definitely help the boys retain their learning for the coming school year, so keep up the great work! I will be introducing one or two new activities this week which will be some new material for the boys such time and the clock. I hope you are finding the work beneficial and don’t stress about getting it all done, we have to be realistic in these times so don’t feel pressurised to do it. If you have any questions or queries, please email me at msohanlon@stpaulswaterford.com

Happy Summer Holidays!

Hello boys, parents and guardians,

In normal times it would now be time for the countdown for our summer holidays to start.
Excitement would be building in the classroom, and we would be counting the days on our class
calendar.

This year has been very different, as you all know. It seems like such a long time since we have
seen each other, but remember what a lovely class you are in and how many friends you have
to come back to see in September.

It has been brilliant being your teacher this year. To see all of you grow into a tight knit group
who look out and help for each other has been amazing. You are all clever, friendly and
thoughtful children. I am very proud of you all.

You will be moving up to first class in September and I am sure you will make your new teacher
just as proud as you have made me.

Have a lovely summer holiday, look after yourselves and I will see you in September,
Ms Murphy.

Happy Summer Holidays!

Dear parents,

Tuesday June 30th is our last day of school in what can only be described as a very strange year! I would like to take the opportunity to thank all the parents of the children in my class. Thank you for participating in our online schooling, for all the work you have done at home with your son, for the photos you have uploaded and most of all for letting me know how he was getting on. I have missed seeing the boys everyday and watching them learn and grow.It hasn’t been an easy journey but you have all done wonderfully. Thank you.

Thank you to the lovely boys in my class for keeping up your school work at home. You are super!
I look forward to welcoming you back to school in September. We will all be glad to get back to the classroom and our priority will be helping the boys adjust and creating a happy environment once again.

I hope you all enjoy the summer holidays.

Happy Summer Holidays!

Hello everybody,

I hope that you are all doing well. I’m writing this to let you all  know that we have reached the end of the online learning for this year. “Phew,” I can hear a few of you say!! We’re nearing the end of June and the summer holidays are officially about to start.

I want to congratulate you all for getting this far and doing your best with the learning online. It hasn’t been the easiest school year and everyone had to make lots of changes, some that might have seemed quite difficult at the time. But now the fun can begin and we can relax. Hopefully the weather will pick up for us over the next few weeks so we can finally enjoy days out on the beach or visit some parks and forests  with family.

I have thoroughly enjoyed teaching you boys this year and am very sorry that our school year was cut short. You were a fabulous bunch and I’ll be telling your teacher for next year that she’s one lucky lady to be having you all !!

Enjoy your summer. See you all in September please God.

Best wishes,Ms. Kent.

Happy Summer Holidays!

Hi everybody,

We have come to our very last few days of second class. I cannot believe it! I just want to tell you how proud we are of each and every one of you for all your hard work over the year in 2nd class but especially over the last three months when we all had to move to distance learning.

We received fabulous photos and messages from your parents telling us how good you have all been at home, so well done everyone! Here’s a little poem for you to keep to remember your time in second class.

Missing you all, Ms. Spencer, Ms Cleary and Ms Spillane

Goodbye!

I’m glad I was your teacher

This is true you know

We worked so hard and had such fun

How fast the time did go.

I think you’re very special

And I just want you to know,

This year has been amazing,

I’m so sad to see you go.

Our year was interrupted

And it seems too soon to part,

Just know that you will always have a special place in my heart.

We’ve done so much together

We’ve laughed and smiled and learned,

After such a hectic journey,

Enjoy this break you’ve earned.

Remember to come and visit,

I’d love to see you grow,

You have more to learn ahead,

But there’s one thing you should know:

The thing that makes you wonderful,

And will shine through all you do,

Is just to be yourself,

And be proud that you are you!

Enjoy the summer, take care, Ms. Spencer, Ms Cleary and Ms Spillane xxxx

Happy Summer Holidays!

Dear parents/guardians,

This is a letter to signify the end of the school year, with online working finishing at the end
of this week.

I would like to thank you all for your help and support throughout the year, as well as your
commitment to work with the boys since the school closure in March. It has been far from a
conventional school year, but through your cooperation, the boys have had a year full of
learning and growing.

We may not have had the chance to get everything done this year that
we would have liked to but just remember that your children have had lots of great learning
experiences over the past few months. I have loved teaching all of the boys over the last year
and you should be very proud of them.

To the boys,

Congratulations on reaching the end of 3 rd class. The work you have done this
year, both before and after the school closure, has set you up well to continue on your school
journey in 4th class. I have missed seeing you in school over the past few months, and I am
really looking forward to hearing all about your summers when we return in September.

We didn’t finish the school year together as we would have wanted to but please remember that
you have achieved great things this year and made great memories that you will not forget.

Take some time over the coming week to reflect on the year. I really loved teaching all of you
this year and I hope you enjoyed the year as much as I did.

Enjoy the summer and keep safe.
Kind Regards,
Mr Aaron Jones

Hello boys,

Well this is it. You are officially finished 4th Class!! What a strange end to our year together.

I would like to thank each and every one of you and your families for being so adaptable in such hard and strange times. I understand that it hasn’t been easy for lots of you or your parents over the last number of months. It has not been ideal but we have all adapted as best we could, so THANK YOU!

I wish you all a lovely summer and a well-deserved break from home-schooling. I hope the weather cooperates and gives us lots of opportunities to get out and about. Hopefully as the restrictions are lifted phase by phase, we can get back to having fun with family and friends.

To each and every one of my boys, the little poem below sums up beautifully what I’d like to say to each of you

I think you’re very special,

And I just wanted you to know,

This year has been amazing,

I’m so sad to see you go!

We’ve done so much together,

We’ve laughed and smiled and learned,

Happy Summer Holidays!

Hi boys,
It has been a very strange year for everyone in school, both teachers and students. We have all had to change and learn how to do things differently. You have all done really well and tried your best. This is exactly what I wanted you to do. I want to thank you all for putting in an effort, I know it has been much harder to work at home than it is in school.

I really enjoyed getting to know you all this year. I am disappointed that we didn’t get to do all the fun
things we normally do in the last term. I’m sure you are too! Hopefully, it will be possible next year.
I hope that you can now get out and about a bit more and meet up with your friends.

Enjoy the summer holidays!
Stay safe!

Happy Summer Holidays!

Hi Boys,

Your summer holidays have arrived! It has been a strange end to your time in 5 th class. It is a year we won’t forget in a hurry that’s for sure. It is a massive pity we didn’t get to end our time together as a class. Again I just want to say it has been an adjustment for you all to switch to learning from home
so I want to thank you and all your families for being so adaptable and your hard work during this
time. You all deserve a well-earned break.

You all worked hard before school closed too of course. You all tried your best and it did not go
unnoticed so THANK YOU. You should all be proud of yourselves!! I hope you will all keep it up as
you move to 6 th class. It’s a pity we didn’t get to have one last maths game, we had fun and I
definitely noticed maths experts emerging, especially in your tables so a huge WELL DONE! I always enjoyed your stories and the chats too so don’t be a stranger!

Fingers crossed, we get some lovely weather for you to enjoy and you get to start seeing family and friends that you have missed. I hope you enjoy getting to return to some of your activities such as sports etc.

I have no doubt ye have missed them! I hope I will see you all around in September! I wish you all
the best of luck in 6 th class. Have a relaxing, safe and enjoyable summer!

Best of Luck

Happy Summer Holidays!

To 6 th class 2020,

Congratulations! Who would have thought you would finish up primary school in this
way. It has been a year of many surprises; from day one when you found out I was
your teacher, to the year ending so abruptly. It has been wonderful to watch you all
continue to grow into kind, funny, confident young men. You should all be so proud
of yourselves.

We had great days this year with extra yard, spray painting outside, trips to WIT and
to the park with our buddies. Although the sun didn’t always shine; we had fun in the
snow, playtime in the rain and even needed tea at a soccer blitz when our fingers
turned pink! However you dealt with the greatest storm of all, when the school closed
on March 12 th , with maturity, strength and patience.

To the class of 2020, you have left your mark on the community of St Pauls NS!
From volcanoes, to elections; from bucket hats, to buddies; from Brexit to climate
change; from tea parties, to hiding under desks and shelves and being suspiciously
quiet, far too many times. From match chants, to your unique version of Feliz
Navidad. Is it any wonder I had to say ‘are you joking me?’ so many times!

Your kindness, your positivity, your commitment and dedication both as individuals
and as a group made my job a whole lot easier. Well done and thank you for all of
your hard work, not just this year, but every year during your time in St. Paul’s.
My hope for you all is that you continue to be happy, strong, and inquisitive. Ask as
many questions as you can (even if it is just trying to distract the teacher so you don’t
have to do any writing!). You’re moving on to secondary now and you’ve got the
chance to meet new people, learn from new teachers, try new sports and new
subjects. Take all of those opportunities when they come. I know you will all do so
well.

It was a pleasure to work with you this year and I wish you all the very best of luck in
the future. Continue to make yourselves and your families proud. You are the only
person standing in your way of achieving anything! Take it all in your stride, and
remember PMA: Positive Mental Attitude. Don’t be a stranger, my door is always
open!

Best wishes,
Ms C Kiely
